Colour changing lamps

My daughter had a spherical lamp that changed colour all the time, but it got broken, we`re finding it very difficult to get another that is mains operated, rather than batteries. Does anyone know where we can find one, please? If I can get one, I`d like it to be part of her Christmas present.

Was it like this ? Or Mr Resistor does a sphere but it has rechargeable batteries.

this one is mains powered And it's by Mathmos, so should be good.

I can`t see the Mathmos one, it says page can`t be displayed. The first one looks good, in that it`s almost unbreakable, she knocked the other one onto the floor and broke it, it was glass. The only drawback is that it`s battery, albeit rechargeable, will look into it. Thanks ladies, I`ll try the other one in the morning.

Bought my teenage granddaughter one of these last year, and she still loves it.

Google Mathmos - they are good!

here it is on Amazon Numberplease. You should be able to see it there.

I think Mathmos were the first to come out with the lava lamps.

Thanks Jingl, I now have a problem, which to buy?

Mathmos are (or certainly were) made in England so I would buy one of those in preference to one from ( probably) China.

I`ve had another look at the links, and checked out the specifications, and realised that they`re too small, she wants one at least as big as her last one, it was quite a decent sized sphere. I did find one like it a while back, but it was in the USA, and was reluctant to take a chance on it, maybe I should have. A lot of what I`ve found online are meant for children, and she`s a bit beyond that stage.

www.ormrod.com/ this shop is quite near me and they have yet to fail on any lighting based request - the best.

Lauralaura, thank you, but they don`t have anything resembling what I`m looking for.

Amazon sell a Philips plug in touch control mood light, both my GC have these in their bedrooms.

Cherrytree, I actually gave up the search over 2 years ago!

We bought one of these for when the grandchildren stay over. We love it!

Interesting Treebee, that`s very similar to what she had before, maybe a tad smaller, will have to try and have a looksee in B&Q.
