Cardboard boxes

Intriguing!

You can't have too many cardboard boxes imo! Have they got writing on? If not could you turn them into gift boxes?

About 1/2 have writing.
I am not very craft minded. Though I suppose I could offer them to other people. Hadnt even thought of that.
I tend to store them, in case they turn out to be useful. Then get fed up, as they become a problem in themselves.

Have you thought of putting them on Freecycle? People moving are always looking for cardboard boxes. X

Nurseries and pre-schools might welcome a supply of boxes.

I have been looking at it the wrong way.
Trying to use most of them is not really the way to go.
I have offered them to a couple of people before, who said no, which is probably why I gave up.

You could offer them on freecycle. I am sure anyone moving will be glad of them

Excellent idea anno I take all of our boxes to the nursery attached to my grandchildren's school. They are always very pleased with them and can always find a good use for them.

I do keep one or two big ones to pop in the passageway leading into our factory for when the snow comes. They act as a good soak up.

We keep a couple for the GC to play in and recycle when battered. Doesnt add anything to our decor not being particularly attractive but they enjoy them

Do you have a compost heap? Torn up cardboard is very good in the compost. We once went to the centre for alternative technology in Wales and they told us that was the secret ingredient of compost (if you get the proportions right). We also use some to help get out garden bonfires started. If we have really loads we send it to recycling.

That's a point....we shred cardboard for our compost heaps.....every now and again we add a layer when its had a lot of fresh green added.

I dont have a compost heap. Good idea though.
I think I shall save the bigger ones and see if the nursery wants them.
