Dettol Mould & Mildew Remover is very good. Spay, leave, wipe & rinse.

Oddly enough, we have just used this product in the bathroom and it's very good. Still a trace of it, but so much paler so it looks ok. Every so often DH cuts out all the sealant and re-does it all, but this product [Blitz That Mould] is the next best thing.

I used some from Lakeland that worked really well but when my daughter used it in the shower of a house eshe was selling it turned the silicone a strange colour, so I'd always do a patch test first.

I had all the sealant round my downstairs shower taken out and replaced (DS did it for me) as I couldn't get the silicone clean after mould attacked it. I got some new silicone sealant with mould retardant, which is much better and hasn't discoloured "yet"!

I know you didn't say it was mould but I think it would still do the job. Hope that helps.

Sorry it is not specifically for sealant but lists silicone seals, tiles and window surrounds.

Blitz that Mould catalogue No. 23823 which is a spray or 24253 which is dispensed through an integral brush.

Thanks everyone. Also looked on lakeland but not sure which one Nina means. Love the idea of silk flowers. Having the bathroom redone in blue and grey. They sound fab !!!!!

I have this problem in the bathroom - and 'artistically' place large colour coordinated artificial flower heads to disguise any flaws (after doing what I can to remove it). I use very realistic silk hydrangea heads.
Looks brilliant

I just had a look ninathenana but couldn't spot it, do you know what its called please? I have a similar problem

ninathenana Mon 05-Jan-15 12:56:38

Lakelands sell a product specifically for this.

Could anyone suggest a solution to cleaning the sealant around double glazed windows. Most of it is fine but in the corners it looks dirty. I assume it is dust that has then stuck to the sealant . I don't want to scrub it because I think it will damage it but don't like it looking dirty. Can anyone help please.
