kitchen blind

I have the same blinds in the bathroom. I use the two pronged device , slightly damp and it works very well. best to do it regularly otherwise the dust seems to 'stick'.

Roller blinds don't have that problem. No horizontal surfaces for dust to land on . My daughter has them too. They would not be my choice.

I had a lovely one in the bathroom and gave up on it. You only had to look at it and it bent. Got a silver coloured roller blind to replace it.

I have the same blinds in the kitchen and they are the devil to clean. The patent gadget does not work. DH usually closes the blinds and vacuums them with a soft brush, turns them completely the other way and repeats.
I didn't help matters on Sunday when a bottle of sparkling water I was opening squirted up the blind and window, or there again that bit of the blind is clean.

That's why I don't have Venetian blinds anymore!

I have a slatted aluminum blind in the kitchen too. DH hangs it with string from the washing line stands well back to diffuse the jet and uses the pressure washer.

Some of these mail order companies sell a special two-pronged brush/sponge for cleaning blinds in situ.

I think all you can do is to close them flat and brush or carefully wipe them down.
