Hi can anyone give myself advice on Bi Folds. There are so many options out there. I have good things about the finger safe option with the Origin range as this would be less of a fret for my lovely gran children. Would any of you lovely people be able to share your advice.

Thank you

What's a Bi fold?

These are bi-fold doors. I am sorry I have no experience of them, but would love some. I gather that they are very expensive. Good luck with your quest.

I have them. There's not much to say, really. The only problem that can arise is if the wall behind the lefthand window is too thick, the doors can't fold flat.
You are obviously going to have some windows fitted. Speak to the fitters, not the sales person, they will tell you anything.

@Petra do you think they are value for money. My husband has done some googling online and found that Origin are good as aluminium is meant to be best and we are now looking for a supplier in our area. They do the finger safety we were looking for. Now is the task to find a local supplier but they say they can put us in touch with one. @petra we took your advice and went straight to the supplier as they recommend the people they trust to put these in

I think they're value for money. There's no alternative really if that's the look you want.

@Petra yes this is what we want as they will give us more space and having a opening that folds back into the garden would be perfect. I have contacted Origin and they have advised I go with a company called Abbey Windows here in Reading. Has anyone heard anything about them. I am going to book a quote in this morning to see when they can come out

Perfect ladies all sorted. Abbey had a showrooom and advised I pop down. They demonstrated the doors to myself and they have safety gaskets so no little fingers get hurt. I went for the anthracite grey , i could even of had them in pink as they do any colour in the dulux chart but i said no to pink.

I am very happy and I will have new bi folds installed in five weeks.

Son moved into a doer uper last year and has put these into his kitchen/dining room. They really are lovely and completely open the back of the house up. The whole is open when the weather is suitable.

Yes five weeks and we will have them in. I am not too concerned I do not have them for the summer as these are year round purpose built ones. I am now shopping for a new couch to match.
