Sometimes HQ decides that a reported post does not break the rules, and says so.

Should have said that Gransnet is not a business forum. You may have thought I meant this particular thread of it.

Ther poster said that he liked posting on business forums. This is NOT a business forum, and his intention was probably to get business by posting here - which is not permitted.

Anyone can report a post to HQ by clicking on the "report" link above it, and HQ will take a look and take appropriate action - delete the post, or email the poster to tell them that their post was abusive or otherwise broke the guidelines, or ban the poster.

I don't really understand about 'wrong ' forums and 'being reported ' am I particularly naïve??

I hadn't read that one, nina It reinforces my view that John Louis is on the wrong forum.
