Cat ornaments

I ws in floods of tears earlier today. I was replacing a picture on the wall above the fireplace when it skipped, and knocked off my precious Siamese cat ornament. I know it sounds silly, but I`ve had it for 23 yers, and was particularly fond of it. I was wondering if anyone knew where I could get a replacement? Obviously it won`t be identical, but it needs to be about a foor tall if sitting up, or the same length if lying down. And it needs to have a "normal " expression on it`s face, not a silly grin! I`ve tried Amazon and Ebay, but they`re all too small or not natural looking enough.

I did a search and could only come up with this one which is 11 inches tall. You may well have found and rejected it.

I haven't checked these inks but google Winstanly Cats. I have 3 and they have very life like expressions.

This is my favourite.

Aww, how cute is that??

rosesarered Thu 07-Jan-16 13:08:54

Number you could try antique shops/outlets, if it's over 20 years old, chances are the new ones will be different now.

Or, if you have a photo of it, put the photo on ebay and ask if anyones has one for sale?

Tegan Thu 07-Jan-16 13:55:37

Could it be repaired number?

I've got quite a few cat ornaments but they're only about 2 inches high. I could send them to you if you like, numberplease.

Thank you Shysal, I`d already rejected that one, it has too much of a simpering smile!
Wot, thank you so much for your kind offer, but I do have quite a few cat ornaments of the smaller variety, this was the only large one, and lookedvery realstic, to the point that a gentleman walking past one day and seeing it on the window ledge, told me that I`d have to watch it for getting out and getting lost!
Have to go now, but will look at the other links later.

Just had a quick look on eBay number, and there are a couple of rather nice vintage cats listed. One is a Doulton and the other is Cooper Craft. There is also one which would give you nightmares-v odd expression and huge staring blue eyes!

Excuse the decor, we`d just stripped for decorating! The lost cat is the one right in the middle.
Phoenix, the Beswick cats are lovely, but just haven`t got the right appeal. Thanks to everyone, I will look in the charity shops in town on Saturday, don`t think we have any antique shops here.

Have ordered a cat off Ebay, looks the image of mine, so hope it is when it comes.

That's good number ??

I'm so pleased to see you've found one on Ebay number please. I empathise with your level of distress, nothing rational about that kind of thing grin
