Bathroom tiles - advice needed for websites with room set-ups

My daughter is 6 months pregnant and in the middle of a teaching course. Their bathroom is in dire need of hacking out and re-furbishing - as it is, it's not only a health hazard (mould, crumbling walls and ceiling, condensation, damp) but needs total makeover, but cheaply, as they don't have much spare cash.

Once the damp and other practical issues are sorted, she wants it tiled but has no idea what colours to go for and what they'd look like. Partner isn't into trudging round tile shops and she has very little time as her teaching course is so full-on. I wondered if there are any websites or companies which show what bathrooms look like with different tile designs and colours? She finds it hard to imagine what it could look like. So far she hasn't seen anything she likes and wants something simple, clean, uncluttered and bright rather than pastelly or grey. Any ideas for websites or companies to try? She lives in Norwich, by the way - and we are near Croydon!
Any ideas welcome.

Try Pinterest for ideas: search under 'bathrooms', buy house magazines, search under terms like 'bathroom designs' or 'bathroom decor'. The internet has a lot of information, photographs and ideas if you google and search..

There is a Tops tiles in Croydon. Go there. They will have lots of 'walls' to give you idears.

Yes, Topps Tiles also have a good website where you can view as in a room.

We bought our ensuite ones from Tiles Direct; they have pictures online and will deliver.
The ones for the bathroom were Dartmoor Tiles (not sure if they have pictures of finished bathrooms online).

There are several tile companies online which show finished rooms.

Don't have tiles! Go for that paneling stuff instead. Much easier to clean, no grouting to go off colour.

There is quite a range available, different prices, different "grades" just wish that we had gone for it when doing this house, the builder told me to go and choose some tiles, so like a numpty that's what I did!

If we had had a shower put in the bathroom I would have used the panelling for that.
However, DH said there was no room for a shower and like a numpty as well, I agreed with him.
There is room, especially if he would give up his half of the wardrobe (it is in our bedroom, but it goes back into the bathroom).

Just type "tiled bathroom gallery" into google and click on "images" and it will show you different bathrooms. If she wants to try a different colour, put the colour before "tiled" in the search bar and it will show that colour of bathrooms. I do this when thinking of a new look and don't have to leave my seat, never mind the house!

Just measure the room, work out the size, colour of tiles and decide where the tiles are going and then phone a comany. Some will even come out to measure up for you and work out how many tiles are needed. X

The tiler is the best person to measure and that way there will be fewer mistakes.

Or you can get bathroom wall panels which are sheets of panelling which are waterproof and can be used instead of tiles. Again, just search it out and use the image button to see the differences. Good luck.

www.wallsandfloors.co.uk
Are really competitive for tiles and have a good website with all the leading brands. They always seem to have special offers.

Thanks for all the ideas :-) Now to gently 'encourage' them to get a move-on: I'm sure extensive mould in a bathroom is a health-hazard to anyone, let alone a pregnant woman!
