I had a 6ft. Sofa covered in William Morris fabric 3 yrs ago. It cost £800. The two chairs were £400 each. So I suppose £2400 is a little expensive. Depends though on the material you have chosen

Could you get another quote? I was quoted a lot less than that to have a three piece reupholstered although decided not to have it done in the end. If you really like everything about it it might be worth doing. I've been told that the three piece I've just sold would have had a beech frame, something that sofas don't have nowadays. It's also worth shopping around if you do go for a new one; it's amazing the deals that you can get. I've just bought a sofa and two chairs from a shop that buys ex showroom furniture. It's nowhere near as comfy as the one I've just sold though.

I have 16 year old Wade sofas a 3 seated a 2 seated and an armchair.
They are still in very good condition, we are decorating our lounge and wondered if is better to have the suite recovered. We have been quoted £2400. We have been looking at new sofas but have not found any I like. I have been told they do not make sofas as good as they uses to
