Hello! I hope I am posting this in the right place. My two yeaer old grandson has just gone into a 'big boy's bed' from his cot. Up until now he has slept in a travel cot when the family comes to stay (not as often as we would like - 2oo miles apart) .. and I am now wondering what to get for him to sleep in next visit in October. Is there a good inflatable child's bed? We havent got the space to keep a solid piece of furniture, ie a proper bed, in situ all the time. Any suggestions welcome ! Thanks.

Inflatable Childs beds are great my two GS's love theirs. They are readily available from Argos, Amazon and other places.

What nina said. You will need one per child if you have more grandchildren or all hell breaks out. Look at 'ready beds' and chose your character!

andycor the "ready-beds" (integral blow up bed/sleeping bag) are hugely popular with toddlers, including my grandson who is just over 2 years old and too big for the travel cot. You get all different ones just do a search.

I bought a "Paw Patrol" one at Debenhams for £25.

All my GC have had ready-beds which they loved as a change from their beds at home. What a pity they had to outgrow them!

That sounds great, many thanks all. I will have a look at the 'ready beds' !

I'd recommend the Readybeds too....my GC used them when they stayed over night. They are a bit synthetic and can be a bit sweaty but the children hardly seem to mind - its all part of the fun of sleeping at Grandma's!

We looked at all the optoons this summer with extra grandchild to accpmmodate, I have bought a trundle bed which goes under the bunks as I have only room for a single bed in our room, so now all three grandchildren share the room. Trundle bed is good when they first move out of a cot as it is so near the ground.
