Congratulations AB... I got the same news today! Didn't expect it so soon. I went on the local council's housing list in May, but as I live miles away, I didn't hold out much hope for ages. Apparently I qualified because daughter lives in the village. I was 2nd on the short list, so someone turned it down, meaning I don't feel so bad about getting it so quickly. It's perfect for me, a bungalow in a small complex for over 60s in a beautiful little village where I could never hope to buy anything within my meagre budget... and DGS goes to the village school ... less than 500 yards away so I can be a bit useful! On cloud nine at the moment .... panic will set in later when I realise the huge step I'm taking.
