Scratched patent leather

you could try wax crayons, they would be cheap and they would not harm the leather. I think that the chemicals in the nail polish might affect the leather. not sure as I have never used it on anything other than nails.

I wouldn't use nail polish, you would get a different shine from the way leather polishes up and it would look obvious. Wax crayons do seem the way to go, as shoe polish has carnauba wax in it and will polish up similarly to the wax - you could use blue crayon on it first and then add a very ittle black at a time until you get a shade to match.

Have you tried furniture polish? I know it works on superficial car scratches. If the scratch shows white, how about the wax crayon idea, sounds good to me (make sure it is dark enough)
Otherwise I would say live with it. Remedial action may cause different damage and ruin the shoe.

Thanks I think I will try the crayons which is a very good idea or live with it. I know it seems trivial in the schemeof things but I waited a long time to track these down.I wouldn't mind as much if I had been wearing them for a while n. Thanks to you all this is a great place for help

Years ago I was told to rub Vasaline into patent leather to keep the sine. It might disguise the scratch.

Shaving foam works wonders

While there's a thread about leather can anyone help,with this. I have a perfectly good, leather 3-seater sofa which is solid and comfortable and has that lovely lived-in look (a bit like myself)

ONLY one of the seat is starting to show signs of wear and tear, while the rest is fine. Now you cannot detach the seat cushion (I don't think) but is there any way this could be recovered? Has anyone had this done?
