An incredibly boring request about fairy laundry tablets

I have been unable to find them as well, so have changed to an eco liquid which is having really good results and is better for our septic tank! I have been very careful about which product to use since son had problems with reaction to powders as a child.

Amazingly Professor Heimlich had apparently never performed this life-saving manoeuvre himself before.

Don't worry about the 'man who fixes things' drawing in his teeth (unless he actually inhales them and then there's always the Heinrich Maneuver). The Fairy gels are on offer in Tesco for £6 for 38 - that's half price.

Wilkinson stock them £6.

Is Fairy a Unilever product? There have been problems with them supplying Tesco and lots of Supermarkets. They tried putting up their prices and Tesco resisted.

I don't use gel because we have very soft water so prefer to be able to regulate how much goes into the WM.

Marks & Spencer do non-bio washing tablets. They're v good and they come up on special, offer from time to time.

Can't help as I use own brand liquid or gel tablets with a hot wash monthly, or to be honest when I remember smile. Washing machine is I don't know how many years old as we inherited it with our current home, seems to work well enough. Maybe try the liquid?

I use gels for most things, but once a month do a 90 degree boil wash just to cut out any accumulated gunk caused by the gels.My machine is about 6 years old, but I use it a lot.I have never used any tabkets ( except for the dishwasher.)

Supermarket own brand liquid wink
I don't like powders too messy and the rest are all the same composition as far as I can see.

I use which ever powder is on offer.
Could you not use liquid if your man doesn't recommend gels.

Jalima Mon 31-Oct-16 14:44:46

I always used to use the tablets but use the gel capsules now and hadn't noticed that the tablets are not widely available.

What is wrong with the gels? What does the washing machine repair man say?
May have to have a rethink if they damage the machine

Stansgran Mon 31-Oct-16 14:14:10

Does anyone know why they are no longer being sold in Sainsburys? Or are they not being made at all? I dislike powder as it makes me sneeze and the man who repairs things sucks his teeth in when gels are mentioned. He hasn't so far had to do anything to the 10 year old washing machine.
