At the present time, my bedroom in this weather!

But usually the sitting room, where I have all the books, computer, telephone etc.

My sister insulated her conservatory and swears by it. Not sure what was done though. I would love a larger kitchen where we could have a table or a small wooden chalet in the garden with comfy sofa and a hammock just outside but dream on won't happen unless we move.

Like the idea of a gym with swimming pool, jacuzzi and soft carpeted space with room with me to work on yoga and Tai Chi. Would also love to have a sanctuary with plenty of space for my Wiccan work/meditation and New Age studies. Luxury bathroom with a bath - while I like to shower, every so often I have a hankering to luxuriate in lovely warm bath with bubbles, oils etc. A huge kitchen with a range, work and storage space and dining area. And the library goes without saying. Not to mention a couple of acres for chickens, goats, herbs, aromatic garden(roses, lavender etc), lawn, orchard and veg plot. Well, perhaps some day I'll win the Lottery - oh, since I've never bought a lottery ticket, somehow I think that's unlikely! So probably will always just remain a dream.

I'd like a much bigger kitchen with a big table so that all the grandchildren spcould sit round and their various crafts. Not going to happen unless we knock the lounge and kitchen into one room

If I could afford to do it- transform the massive integral barn on top of our house into a massive room with a huge kitchen on north side with a snug, and a huge lounge/bedroom/library with the whole South elevation a mix of wood (beams and trusses date from 1663) and glass - modern design and cosy châlet style with huge fireplace in middle.

Will NOT mention 'the' word until 2017-- but it won't happen ;)
in 2017 for sure (LOL).

Perhaps will be launching B&B in 2017 with guided visits of area, fauna, flora, castles, medieval towns- France and Switzerland... (see above, 'word' not mentionned)

A vast kitchen with a huge table and a sofa by a large window over looking the garden.

A quiet, snug space with a comfortable sofa that I could lie down on, with glass doors that open on to a stunning view, preferably including water (river or ocean).

I'm with you absent, a library with comfy sofas and no one else allowed unless by invitation.
On a practical level I would love a utility room where all the white goods could be kept and room to dry my washing. It would have a door leading to the garden so the dogs could be dried off before coming into the house.

A comfortable cosy lounge with big armchairs facing a large picture window through which I can see the stunning view.

I always wanted a kitchen with room for a sofa. When we move, soon, I may get my wish ( touch wood)

If you could have just one room that would be your ideal, what would it be? An elegant dining room with a huge highly polished antique table and chairs and a fabulous chandelier? A high-tech room with state-of-the art electronics? A massive bathroom with power shower jets and a jacuzzi? A gym with loads of equipment and a full-size swimming pool?

My choice would be a library. A room full of shelves and one of those sliding ladders so that I could reach everything. It would be packed with more books than I could probably read in the years remaining to me – but I'd give it a good try.
