Dyson cordless Vacuums

I'm very happy with it I've passed my old 'good as new' Dyson to my Granddaughter who had been borrowing her friends vacuum so she was over the moon, it's a win win for everyone.

Yes you do, but both hubby and I have arthritic hands and find it no problem. The big advantage is its so lightweight to carry around, my old one feels like a ton weight now and I no longer use it, I love mine.

Thanks for the vote of confidence, we had a palaver with mounting the docking station as I wanted it upstairs in my very large built in wardrobe with sockets inside. It wouldn't fit with my stuff in it,so as OH has far less 'stuff' we decided to swop wardrobes all goes well so far the OH carefully measures where he needs to drill the screw holes to mount the docking station then I pointed out it was too low.
Re-drills the holes and screws the docking station in place perfectly, then realised he should of threaded the cable through the back before screwing it in place . Off it came while I carefully found a handy utube video showing how it should be done (he doesn't do 'instruction books').

Anyway all done now after lots of swearing, cursing, and losing of screws that apparently I must of moved whilst he wasn't looking ' I'm glad that's over with... I'm sure no one else had such a problem with the docking station..

I'm another dyson cordless fan. I bought one recently and wish I'd done it ages ago. I can do the wooden downstairs floors, the rugs, stairs and upstairs in one go. No more lugging a heavy Dyson up and down stairs, it's a boon.

You won't regret it. Love mine never used on the highest suction not necessary. Do my 3 bedroomed house in under the 20 mins it takes before running out. Would never go back to a corded one

So we took a trip to Curries as they of course had some 'Easter Deals' on. I tried them all out and you are right Coolgran65 it wasn't difficult to hold the button down and seemed nice and light to manoeuvre. So we ended up buying the V6 Total Clean version a young man who was also trying them out "I'm buying it for my wife for Easter", says he, "I'd buy an egg too if I was you"I said .
Anyway the price was £249 and they were doing a deal on the extra tools pack for £40 with nice hanging bag that all the tools fit in, after the young man haggled with the manager he got his and one for us for £30 I was happy with that.

Now OH is enjoying unpacking and we have to find a space in the wardrobe upstairs to hang the charging kit so I think we need a lot of juggling around to fit it in.. hey ho off I go.

Yes, you do have to hold the trigger but I don't find it a big deal and I do have arthritis in my hands.

If doing a big clean, i.e. cleaning under stuff, pulling out bits of furniture, it might only do the upstairs which is all carpet - but on a day to day basis it does my whole house which has hard floors downstairs.
I tend to do my upstairs as necessary and the downstairs every other day.

I'd buy it again without hesitation.

I've got the V6, and yes, you do have to hold the button down, but it is really light on the fingers and doesn't make your hand ache. You don't always need it on high suction, either, so that gives you longer usage.

Cornergran he does usually do the stairs and upstairs rooms and I do down.

Ive just bought the V6 and it would really help if there was a catch or something so you didnt have to keep the "trigger" squeezed. Also on high suction it only lasts 8 minutes.

Another thought. If Mr T really wants one then perhaps he takes over the floor cleaning? That works .

Ours is the same. Ask the shop to let you have s go. My hands aren't the best but I find it's easy enough. Worth trying it? Otherwise as they say alternatives are available .

Ours is one of the oldest Dyson handhelds so don't know if it's changed but there is no on/off switch just a button you have to hold in all the time, let go and it stops .
