Just had our latest bill from them, 2 phones on the same contract. They had more than doubled the rental for one and not the other. I have now spoken online, on my mobile and also when they called to try to sell me further services. I have been given 3 different 'reasons' for this additional charge. They are making a 'goodwill gesture' to charge me what I should be charged.

So I am not happy with them but the main reason for this post is that this morning's call was from someone clearly working from home as I could hear her children in the background and it took a very long time for her to open my account on her computer. If they employ people working from home, does this compromise my security? They know a lot about me, they collect their money by direct debit, they know my PIN. Does anyone have any knowledge of such things?

I worked for the company that booked and ran the driving licence theory test and we tested out some call centre functions with homeworkers.

I can’t share the details with you but I can assure you that Security was in place that was actually greater than general call centre security. There were additional layers of data encryption also.

Hope this helps a little.

Thanks *N&G, glad to hear it. I find it very worrying that on another thread someone said they had a call about the Teachers Pension when, presumably, they did have such a pension. Very worrying where they get the info.
