My crystal vases are cloudy ( I think I may have put them in the dishwasher!)
I’ve tried the soapy water, and the soap & vinegar.
I’m thinking of trying the dishwasher again.
Any other ideas?

Daddima don't! I had a similar problem, put the vase in the dishwasher again, and it cracked. Oops! It was engraved with husband's champion golf details blush

I read somewhere that dishwasher detergent causes small surface scratches on glass so nothing works to reverse the damage. I only put cheap glass wear into the dishwasher and discard it when it gets scratched. However I am surprised that your vase was damaged with only one wash in the dishwasher as I have found that it takes many cycles to see damage. Sorry I'm not more help.

Oh yes sorry once the dishwasher has done its worst I'm not sure what you can do. perhaps the Good Housekeeping site has some advice.

Crystal is much softer than every day glass. The silicates in dishwasher detergents scratch the surface. You could try using Brasso to polish it again, but it will take forever if it is a large vase.

Try rinsing with a spot of bleach in the water. That works on my cut glass vase.

Just read this afternoon somewhere to soak crystal glasses in white vinegar ,wash rinse and dry immediately . I UK e you get did of the white bloom or you may just have to him them if you can't live with it .don't put them in the dishwasher again though.
I ruined some beautiful Italian champagne glasses with deep silver edging by putting them in once.

I can live with it, nanabilly, so I think we’ll go for the bleach next!

If you are looking for replacements, charity shops often have beautiful crystal vases. Younger generations clearing relatives homes often don’t want them.
Personally, I love a beautiful crystal vase or glass.

I bought steradent tablets for exactly this job, drop a tablet in and fill up with water allow to stand for an hour or two then rinse thoroughly and should come clean.

@harrigran is correct, I use the steradent tablets and they are best for this task but I recently read on crystalopedia.com/cleanse-crystals/ and fond that to be much more effective in cleaning crystals
