Insulated conservatory roofs

Are there any gransnetters that have had an insulated roof in place of the polycarbonate,we really cant decide if it is worth doing,i would really appreciate your opinion if you have had this done.Regards knittinggran.

Yes, we had one fitted. We used High-Tech membrane roofing. Absolutely brilliant company. Worth every penny.

We took off the noisy, leaky polycarbon roof of our conservatory and DH replaced it with roofing felt and slates to match the house. We put insulation and plaster board inside and had a plasterer in to finish it off. We are very glad we did and can use it much more. It is perfectly light for the plants.

Yes, we had our done and it’s meant we can use the conservatory all year round. Get a reputable firm, pay any deposit by credit card and you’ll not regret it.

It has made our ‘front room’ a tad darker in the mornings but that’s ok by us.
