Combi microwaves

I need to replace my combi microwave which now only microwaves. I am looking especially for one with a good oven/baking function. My present Panasonic although claiming to have this used the grill as its oven setting. Consequently everything was burned on the top and baking was impossible. My previous Panasonic baked cakes to perfection. The microwave sits on a shelf and is not built in.
Can anyone recommend a good combi microwave?

Franny, not much use to you, but I did have a lovely LG microwave that made wonderful cakes ! Unfortunately I don't think that model is made any more, sorry. Good luck with your search.

Don't get a Tesco own-brand. I bought one, only to find there were no instructions on how to use the combi/grill functions. The handbook suggested that I should buy a book to instruct me. It's not the kind of thing you can guess at, so I bought a book, but the calibration system it referred to was completely different from the dials and settings on my oven, so the book was no use. I gave up, and have only ever used it as a microwave.
