Brilliant thanks lemon, I've found it. Looks like the GTech Multi!

Thanks all.

I have to add that my Dyson cordless is a "35 Animal" and I have had it a number of years.

I had a look lemon but the thread I found was discussing Dyson only.
Thanks Marmight the GTech Multi was the one I had in mind but wondered how it compared to the Dyson. The GTech Multi seems to have a longer running time than the Dyson V6 I think?

I've got a GTech hand held Multi which came with the GTech upright. It's perfect for the stairs as well as the car and any other place where a larger vacuum is a nuisance. Easy to use, comes with all kinds of additions, which I have yet to work outblush, and is easy to empty. Would highly recommend.

Chewy there was quite a long thread on this subject a few months ago, try and find it?May be helpful.?

Does the Dyson V6 have a detachable head so that you can vacuum stairs an inside the car?

Also have Dyson V6, and can really recommend it. We have a white long-haired cat, and I can now see the actual pattern on the carpet!

The Dyson V6 that I have came with a wall mount. I haven't used it, and store mine in a cupboard in my utility room.

I like my Dyson cordless vacuum. I don't have a problem with emptying it, or cleaning it. It's great on the stairs, although I don't have stair carpet.

I have a Dyson cordless and I would not recommend it. It's difficult to get the dirt out when emptying it. You have to poke your fingers up inside it to get all the dirt out. (I think the GTech has a slider for this?)

I've finally had enough of balancing my old Dyson vacuum on the stairs, whilst wedging it on with my knees and simultaneously trying to drag the cord and not trip over it. Time for a good cordless, I think. I need one that has the head to come off so that I can do the stairs and inside the car, but at the same time, have an upright for floors and the corners of rooms.

I think I've whittled it down to either the Dyson cordless or the GTech. Do any of you have one of these and would you he able to recommend one for me? Storage space is at a premium so if you could tell me how big the docking station is for yours that would be helpful too.

Thanks
