There’s a vax model which is similar. It also can be just plugged in to charge it without it being necessary to fix it to a wall. It can be used as a hand held or with a long wand to save bending.

No annie -it has an assortment of clip-on tubes, from dustbuster length to full length. Very easy to empty as well.

Annie, the Dyson comes with a big metal tube extension so you can hold it at a comfortable height and vacuum.

But wouldn’t a hand held one mean a lot of bending?

Not fixed my Dyson to the wall either. It really is the bees knees and would be ideal for you .

My dyson isn’t fixed to the wall either.
Like the phone , it could be anywhere!

Another vote for Dyson hand held one . Very light and so easy to use . It’s almost fun to use ! It doesn’t have be wall mounted to charge - anywhere will do .

Annibach, look on Argos, you can get very lightweight ones, ?

Annie my Dyson isn't fixed to the wall - I just plug it in and leave it on the floor by the wall with the tube stood up by it (or somewhere you won't trip over it). It's very light and you could easily use it with one hand I think or lean on a chair while you do some of it. And its good for pet hair and spiders webs grin Sorry to hear you granddaughter is going so fast though - you must be very sad x

Help please. My little helpmate (granddaughter ) has decided to move tomorrow not next month.

I cannot use my vacuum cleaner, too heavy.

Can’t buy one that needs to be charged up, no free wall to fix it to. Need to vacuum with one hand gripping vacuum cleaner and other gripping walking stick
