I thought I was just being lazy by getting jobs done before showering and dressing. Now I realise it's just good sense, mum would have been horrified. ?

How brave you are! I normally wear pyjamas in case I have to leap from a window to escape a fire or mad axeman but in this heat I’m sleeping naked.
When I have to go downstairs to the loo at night I’m creeping in the dark, afraid of being seen. I don’t draw any curtains in summer and have very close neighbours!

I always do the housework in my t-shirt nightie. I even have a decorating 'nightie' that I wear when painting. I tend not to do ANY housework if I'm already dressed!

Good idea Liz although didn’t it give your DH ideas of his own? grin

I cleaned the bathroom today in a very old bikini ( not a pretty sight.)?

When I was fit and able I used to do the decorating naked.
Paint washes off skin a lot easier than clothing and I never became too hot.

Then again there are no overlooking neighbours to scare rigid when I was near the windows.

My ideal housewear in hot weather is a cotton kaftan. Loose cool and covered up !

You have to remember what state of dress or undress you are in though. I'm recovering from an op, can't walk much to get out and it's more comfortable in this weather to drift around in a nightie. All I can say is the postman is probably now too traumatised to ring twice but it could have been worse. wink

I would be the 'big thing' if I did it!!

I hope you were careful with that iron PECS? grin

You’re not alone. I prefer to do my housework scantily clothed. It keeps me cooler and saves getting my clothes dirty etc. My husband claims that Brigitte Bardot did the same. Or perhaps that was in his dreams!

Haha! love the idea of Mission Impossible! I did a bit of ironing this morning in just knickers..so rare for me to iron but the few really cool clothes have had been washed...

This morning as I was just about to step into the shower I realized that I hadn't got the spare room ready for our weekend visitors. This included wrestling with duvet covers, vacuuming etc. all guaranteed to get me hot & sweaty again, so as I was on my own in the house I decided to do all my jobs starkers!
I had the 'Mission Impossible' theme running through my head while scurrying round crouching down to below window height so I didn't scare the neighbours.
Got the work done in record time and was laughing all the way to my shower.
Such fun grin
