pans for induction hobs

Nit all stainless steel pans will work on an induction hob but many of them will. When I got my hob some years ago now I didn’t have to replace many things at all and I didn’t get rid of anything which I hadn’t first tried on the hob. One casserole type pan I was sure wouldn’t work amazed me by working beautifully.

One thing to mention though is that many pans which work on all types of hobs do work on induction but in my experience don’t work as well (fast) as others which are primarily made for induction. But there’s no need to spend a fortune.

I've had three induction hobs also and love them. We have just moved and until we have a new kitchen I am having to use a gas hob......just can't get on with it as well. I keep forgetting the ring burner stays on when I remove the saucepan....so frustrusting !! When I bought the first induction hob it came with a small magnet that I can take with me if looking to buy new saucepans etc.

TK MAXX sell Le Creuset pots and dishes a whole lot cheaper than RRP.

My own set of old Le Creuset pots and casserole pots work very well on my induction hob.

I thought any stainless steel would do, too Varian but discovered that not all stainless steel will stick to a magnet.

I have Stellar too, Seacliff and they work well. I also have a couple of Lidl frying pans which are fine.

I would never buy a Le Creuset pan - they are far too heavy even when empty. Any stainless steel pan will do, from Ikea or a supermarket or online trader.

I love the Stellar stainless steel induction pans (just ss no non stick). They are quite expensive but I found a good offer for a set online. They are so easy to clean and last a lifetime. I also have a large Stellar saute with glass lid.

I also have a small non stick Lakeland pan just for omelettes and pancakes.

Sainsbury sells pans suitable for induction hobs. I bought some there, not wanting to spend a fortune. I also bought one from TK Maxx. I love the new hob. So easy to clean ! ?

I've got Tefal saucepans and one of these casserole dishes.

They're both excellent on my induction job.

You can buy an 'interface' disc which means you can use any pan.

I have a set of Cook's Essentials pans from QVC, and to add to them I bought a couple of stainless steel pans from Tesco. I still haven't added a hob to oven casserole, but I'm on the lookout for one. I love my induction hob too, I'm on my third one!

We tried all our old pans to see what worked, some did some didn’t. The Le Cruset ones worked, but the other old set, can’t remember the name began with a C, didn’t.
It seemed that stainless steel generally worked, so we bought a new set of Judge pans with glass lids.
If you make jam, make sure you have a deep pan. Hardened boiled jam splashes ruin the hob.
