We would like a wider (5') bed but don't have room for the standard 6'6" that King size come with. Online you can order 5' x 6'3" beds and mattresses but I'm wary of buying this way. Can anyone one recommend a supplier?

If you make sure it is a secure site, padlock at beginning of address bar, they accept returns and they have been reviewed on trustpilot then you cannot really go wrong. If you have a paypal account use it to pay as you are further protected.

Dreams ordered a standard double width but extra long bed for a friend, made to his required length. I don’t know whether they do a wider but standard length. Worth asking?

Have you looked at JLewis and their bedroom fitting options, also Sharpes bedroom fitting you may be lucky its worth looking at.
Sharpes fitted my bedroom and made to measure a dressing table to fit into an alcove.

We had a bed made to fit our own bed frame. We bought it from John Lewis. It is an excellent bed and very comfortable, but expensive.

John Lewis looks like the answer as I have found a bed where the mattress fits on the frame rather than in it so saves space.
