Delivered 24th August, connected and seemed fine except the grill pan which has the most awful sharp edges all the way around! Phoned customer services and they apologise and say they will send a new one out.
Try to cook some lamb in fan oven, it gets hot, but does not reach a cooking temperature!
Phone C*** where we bought it, they say ring manufacturer, I am not happy about that but they insist thats the way it needs to be done (I quoted Sale of Goods etc), but anyway, Manufactuer has booked an engineer to call tomorrow.......watch this space (unless its just too boring lol).
AND
The replacement grill pan has just arrived AND IS VERY SHARP AROUND EACH EDGE!!, I think this is dangerous, I will wait to get oven sorted (hopefully) before following up further about a dangerous grill pan. Very shoddy in my opinion.

Sorry to hear you are having such trouble Kateykrunch. My MIL just had a new cooker in as well from John Lewis. When they arrived to install they discovered the new one was too high powered and it had to be sent back until an electrician could come and properly fix the electrics. Luckily John Lewis was great about it and did the whole re-delivery with no problems, no charge.

Best of luck, I hope it works out for you.

OOer....not an Aga Saga! Sounds like poor customer services to me. That is the benefit of John Lewis (at the moment) they do sort stuff out. Its still the one thing that sets them apart and why we usually go with them for similar purchases.

Well, the engineer turned up this morning, he said “not surprised it isn’t working, it hasn’t been fitted with a fan”, luckily he had a fan available and fitted it and I have just used the oven to cook dinner and its fine, just so inconvenient! I will use our old grill pan rather than either of the 2 finger chopper off’ers that they have supplied and really feel a strongly worded email coming on lol.

Ohh! I think pan would grill better! ;)
