Has the decorating finished or is it still work in progress? Has your helper stepped up or is he still making things harder work? confused

It's nothing major, in principle, started off as an alternative to the ridiculous quote for replacement kitchen doors, drawer fronts etc.

As mentioned in another thread, we have decided to stick with the kitchen we have, and paint it. However, a couple of the doors need replacing, the cornice and pelmet, ditto, the doors are 1mm out of current standard size, yes really!

Now appears that there are other aspects to consider..........

But have had reasonable quotes from local chaps (VERY firmly believe in keeping it local) but we now need to factor in extra MDF, new hinges, it's what I refer to as "project creep"!

But, as I say, it will (should) be lovely when it's done!

Chewbacca it's pretty bad! The "office" will be decorated next Wednesday.

The thing referred to previously in this thread is the kitchen!

Just remember Phoenix:

"Tha can't mek an omlitt withart brekking some eggs". Roughly translated: " Don't worry about it, it will all turn out fine"!

*Chewbacca" we often quote the omelette & egg thing, however you can bung the egg shells in the recycling whilst making the omelette, doesn't quite work in this case!

I thought our playroom would be lovely when we got the new curtains up! They look b awful! Anyone want some lovely multicoloured curtains - only up for 3 days?

kitty I have similar in my second bedroom. Very expensive curtains and I hate them now they have been hung. Maybe we should exchange!

What colour charley? We need a really deep pink or purple in a heavy material.

What I bought are white background, lots of blue and green splodges and nowhere near enough pink and purple splodges!!

We'll put them in stock and try to forget the cost. blushblush

... and when it is finished, another room will need doing. It is a bit like painting the Forth bridge, as soon as you get to the end, you have to start all over again.
