This sounds like a great idea to me, less ironing! got carried away and bought one, but now I'm wondering if it was such a good idea. Before I decide whether to return it, do any of you folk have any experience of these? - were they a good buy?

Thanks!

humptydumptyI have used a hand steamer for a few years and always found it invaluable,I even take it on holiday with me.
The secret is to hang the garment from the top of a door and move the garment away from the door as you steam it,it does take a wee bit of practice but you will get there in the end.good luck x

I bought one to use on my DD wedding dress which we bought on line (risky I know but in this case it paid off) and came in a box about 24"x12"x12"
It did an amazing job but 10 yrs later I think I've used it a handful of times.

My son used one when he volunteered in a charity shop for his DoE. 14 year old DS was quite impressed with it- but he has never wanted one for Uni or since he has come back home. Mind you he buys non iron shirts and I iron most of his other things.
