Travertine tiles help needed

Just asked my husband, a tiler, he said you can get/hire a travertine buffer, buff (with sander head) then buff some sealer in.

Where could I find cheap self sticking vinyl floor tiles for a rented property.

Sand them, not send! Sorry

I suspect you may need to send them back down again and re-seal.

I have travertine tiles. I hate them. They are a nightmare. They just get worse whatever you do in my experience. I’d never recommend to anyone. I dream of the day we can afford to replace them but it would be a massively expensive job.

I've only used travertine tiles on walls, not floors, and I cleaned and sealed them every year, due to their porosity. I found this about reducing scratches, if it helps? The only way to remove scratches is to cut pasted the damage, sand the tile smooth away and then sand or polishes the tile to the correct grit to achieve the same finish as your current tiles.

Hi NS - we’ve just sealed them, gave them two coats then a third after they were laid. We’ve just bought a 400grit sander pad which has helped to even them out slightly.

How long since they were sealed Moll22? I love travertine but understand they need re-sealing regularly - every two years as a minimum we were told when considering them here.
