Helped a friend move last Tuesday - her previous home was stuck in a time warp and took 4 years to sell! She and her ex are both ‘frugal’ and can’t throw things away. I’ve never seen so many boxes - it will take years to find homes for all the stuff! It’s taught me that if I do move in the future (been here 27years) to have a massive blitz beforehand!

Hope lincolnimp and DH enjoy their new home.

Very happy to hear that you are in your new home.

My daughter, partner and 15 month old baby son are moving tomorrow. It's been going on since last year........seller cancelled sale at one time, don't know why but then put back on market.....delays because of covid........but we are hoping and praying all will go well tomorrow!!

Enjoy your new home smile

Well done ,we've had three houses fall through and sold ours 3 times and had to let the buyers down.So we're still in the house my OH bought while out for a run 32 years ago .I think we might just stay its too much hassle .Enjoy you're lovely new house and have many happy years there

Lovely. It's a most enjoyable time just getting used to your new home and location. It does feel just like playing house!

Congratulations Imp moving house is fraught with so many problems. Put your feet up and have a nice cup of tea, or something stronger if it helps. You made it.

I have made several posts over the last year about moving house. Initially about how to manage the process with a hoarding OCD DH , the total chaos caused by one particular national Estate agent, and latterly my worries about the actual move process.
Well, despite everything going wrong that could possibly go wrong we are here smile.
DH still has a whole room piled high with boxes that he will be sorting for the next 2 years or so, our little FC will be with us for anothe 2 months, so delaying totally getting straight, but we are here and will not be moving again, ever.
