We bought it for our bathroom. Never bought thinner so can't compare it but we love it. Warm and quiet. Ours is a random stone tile effect.

Bought it on line and sent for lots of sample pieces.

Cushioned vinyl flooring comes in rolls, sheets, planks and self adhesive tiles jeanie99, depending on the brand you choose. There are loads of online companies offering varying thickness and prices, as well as B&Q who do an online help check so that you can see the differences to help you choose correctly. The the type you require would depend on the area you're thinking of using it in.

thought I might be able to get some samples based on website images.

Not sure what I mean really, something on a roll which is thick and spongy, I remember seeing it some years ago but can't remember the name.
Not the hard type which is very thin or tiles.
Not been shopping I stay in but would like to get an idea of prices.

Do you mean luxury vinyl on a roll? I've got that and you need to make sure that its got a wear layer of at least 0.3mm.
I do think you can tell the difference from the cheaper stuff. Mines a natural oak plank effect and it certainly looks very realistic

Do you mean vinyl for flooring, such as Amtico or Karndean?

As anyone ever bought the very soft thick vinyl, I think it is just called luxury.
Is this warmer and quieter than the thin vinyl?
