Insulation behind radiators

We are having some new radiators downstairs and perhaps it would be a good idea to put some insulation behind them. Just wondering if anybody has done this and if so what type of insulation was used?

I'm afraid I don't remember the name of the product but in our last house, which had poor insulation, we used some foil material on backing which could be hung from the backs of the radiators, between them and the wall.

We found it very effective in increasing the temperature inside. I'm sure that either Googling or asking in B&Q or Homebase, would turn up the product I've described. Might even be a better one available now.

Thank you parkersheen, the link just takes me to google but I think you are both talking about the panels you put behind the radiator rather than the material you stick to the wall. I’m heartened that you found it increased the temperature Luckyoldbeethoven as our front room is quite cold.
