Hi Everyone, I am looking for reliable conveyancing within Bromsgrove / Redditch and I do not know where to begin! What should I be looking for in a conveyancer to know they are reputable and efficient and how can I distinguish between good and bad conveyancers or lawyers? If anyone can help me out or give me a few local lawyers I could contact about this who you know is value for money and will not waste my time

You could ask a few Estate Agents to recommend one, unless you have friends who have recently moved, we always used a Solicitor, cheapest isn’t always best though and you usually have to chivvy them along.

I am also looking for a conveyancer. Has anybody used an online firm? They give quite good quotes but wondering re reliability. Also, isit better to use one where the property is or where I now live? All advice gratefully received.

There will be solicitors that do conveyancing in your town, just Google “conveyancing in your town” or phone local firms

If you are buying or selling a modern estate house it should be straightforward. If it’s a an older property there are many many issues that can delay the sale, Covid is delaying everything as well.

Why do you think conveyancers are inherently untrustworthy? I admit they are often slow, unless you chase them, a few are incompetent, but not many. Do you find dentists or doctors untrustworthy or is it just that you do not trust lawyers without any evudence or on the basis of one bad experience of a distant frined and relative?
