The sour cream is for a Ukrainian borscht (sic) that I'm going to make. It has cabbage in it too (and carrot and potato but they are elsewhere) and one eats it with rye bread that is spread with sour cream onto which one sprinkles salt ?

What lovely big fridges you all have! And well-stocked too. Mine is looking rather empty at the moment as I'm using up all the bits of left-overs that I freeze and I'm determined to buy less until the freezers are emptier. Juliet27 my tortoise is too big to fit in the fridge in our garage and anyway that's where I keep the wine and beer stocks so I can't take any shelves out!

Looking at your fridges I hope that everyone had their raw meat and poultry on the shelf above the salad draw. And not on any other shelf.

I have a half empty bottle of milk and a portion of cauliflower cheese in my fridge. Have defrosted my fridge freezer in time for stocking it full of Christmas goodies.

We also have a fridge freezer in the garage and a wine fridge in the dining room!!
