Marigolds

I buy the heavy duty ones and use with no problems. The others ‘go’ very quickly so I leave them on the shelf. I agree, they are not as good as they used to be.

My brother, a goalie in his younger days, couldn’t find his goalkeepers gloves so took some Marigolds with him and was forever known as that! And they lost....!

DD and I have been saying that for ages. They used to last me ages but no longer do. Which is a problem as I get very sore hands if I don't use them an have been struggling to get them on my usual Tesco home deliveries. They were one of those lockdown problems that I didn't envisage. I'm now being very careful with them. Drying them after use; keeping them out of sunlight etc. I did have a pair of the blue heavier duty ones but they didn't last long either. And they seem to puncture easily as well. I do turn the left hand ones inside out if I'm really stuck [it's always the right hand one that goes first]. And, thinking about it, I use a lot more bleach etc these days. But they seem thinner than they used to be.

I agree about the Marigolds, have thought this for a long time now, and I also find my fingers get burnt under a running hot tap while wearing them , so obviously much thinner than they were.

I stopped buying them and now buy much thicker ones in bulk from a Spanish supermarket

I wouldn't ever use Marigolds again unless they became better quality

Sainsbury’s haven’t had them to deliver for a few weeks now.
They substituted them with their own brand, they are even worse quality.
