If so are they safe?
I've recently had pain in my knees from constantly swivelling back and forth while working in the kitchen. Mostly making meals.
When you think how many times you turn, between work prep. surface, fridge, cooker, freezer, sink, various cupboards, rubbish bins etc it's no wonder the knees feel the brunt of it.
I thought a stool with wheels might help to avoid the wear and tear.

It sounds as though you might do better with an office chair, with a back, adjustable height and seat? You could whizz around the kitchen on that with no risk of falling off?

Fennel, looks like you spend a lot of time in your kitchen. You probably have a big family to cater for. Perhaps, like B9 suggested, an adjustable, comfortable office chair would suit you best .

Would a portable butchers block with lockable wheels be better and safer?
I had a fab one made for a previous house, it butted up to the sink and could be wheeled outdoors.

I've got an office chair (no arms) in my workshop which is similar working conditions to you in your kitchen. I need to get to and from areas a lot. I bought it of facebook market place - £5.

This stool is reasonable though.

Thanks CrazyH - that made me smile smile. I wish! Not really though - I'm an old woman of 84 with a hungry husband. Thank God for that though.
We need a proper lunch every weekday and on our Sabbath 3 meals which is the main problem. Normally we could get someone to help with the preparation but difficult with Covid.
I still usually enjoy cooking but now think I'm going to have to simplify the menus,
Thanks for the replies, I'm going to get husband to order something like an office or workshop stool on wheels.
