Seagrass Flooring.

At least it's not glued on to a nice 'old-fashioned' parquet floor!

You can hire industrial scrapers I think, and the hire company might be able to recommend adhesive softener.

The seagrass is glued directly to the concrete floor.
It’s a natural product, so in damp or humid conditions, it can get hairy and mouldy.
DH thinks it will be a nightmare to remove, but we shall have to tackle it sometime, dreading it.

It was my choice to have the seagrass, so cannot blame anyone else.

Some 30 years ago DD had sea grass put in her large room - sitting/dining. After a short while she moved a piece of furniture and discovered it was all hairy with mould underneath the cupboard. She then lay on the floor and looked under all the heavy pieces of furniture and it was the same. After much complaining the company did reimburse her and she had carpet laid.
One of her friends then told her that the same had happened to her mother who had put it in a small holiday place at the seaside.

It may be just the underlay which is glued. Can you lift the seagrass in a corner?

What is underneath the seagrass? Is there a floor you'd like to save?

I think it may depend on the adhesive. Have you asked any flooring fitters what they’d recommend? I’m surprised to read it was popular, it doesn’t sound very practical.
