JaneJudge-what make is your machine?
I’m whispering my question because I don’t want to offend my current washing machine. It may not have a spin only function but it’s working at the moment!

I have a fantastic new basic washing machine, a Beko. The last one of the same make lasted me 16 years !
This new one is half touch-screen and half manual. It has a 30 minute wash which is great for less-soiled clothing or just used to freshen up. A large drum that I can get a thick double candlewick bedspread in.
All for £200 ! An absolute bargain. With delivery, fitting in and removing the old machine---an extra £60. What more could you wish for ?

it has a spin only function too fwiw

I have this one
I don't know if you can still get it but it has a 60 min full spin fastwash, a 60 min anti stain, 15 min wash and I think I have used every other function on it too. I have my bed stuff on a 3 hr anti stain atm and it gets everything out of whites too. I don't know if you can still get them. You can make your own program too and adjust the temperature and spin

Once I had a lovely machine that had a spin only program. Now I have a multitude of programs I don’t need or rarely use, but if I want to spin, I have to do a rinse cycle with it. Waste of water!

I want a basic one these fancy sensitive makes are a nuisance. Apart from the quick wash. Bring back basic!

Shinamae, mine's a Hoover and just the same. I could design my own individual programs - and set it with just a tap from my mobile - but I don't want to!

Shinamae Fri 14-May-21 10:17:56

Is there even such a product? My Hoover is pretty good but has so many programs of which the most I use is 4, my friends are the same, some people might need and want the all singing all dancing models but I would just like a very basic model that would do the job efficiently and economically...
