New stainless steel pans

Google the brand you bought and look at the reviews for your pans and see if anyone else has had problems and how they dealt with them.

Stainless steel shouldn’t stain!

I bought a set recently from John Lewis and they are fine after a fair bit of use.

That's strange. I have Jamie Oliver stainless steel pans that I have used on various hobs. All fine.

Thank you both for your input. I did read all reviews previous to purchase from, should I name them?, M&S, and was impressed. However I have to admit being disappointed now with first results. Oh well??‍♀️

Avacraft.com has this problem on their website and tell you how to remove the stains, I didn’t read it all though, says it’s due to the pans being heated too quickly?

M & S should be helpful if you wish to exchange or get a refund.

I bought M&S pans for my induction hob and they were awful! For some reason they took ages and ages to heat up on the hob. I returned them and the assistant said I wasn’t the first person to do that and probably wouldn’t be the last.

Instead, I bought Circulon Momentum pans and am so pleased with them.
