Composite front door in full sun

I had new composite front door fitted nearly 2 years ago as the bungalow had an old wooden one. It gets full sun in the summer and heavy rain and strong winds on it during the winter. Still beautiful. Vast range of colours and glass patterns. Very high spec locks.

We had a very modern grey composite door put in in our London house. It had a long glass panel and a long vertical chrome handle and looked very smart. The glass wasn't clear but let in lots of light. I like that, but did notice the wood floor fading a bit in that area.
It did drop after a year or so and needed re adjusting. Also it did swell in heat but still closed. The weird thing was there was nowhere in it to put a letter box!

We too had a similar pattern of doors. We went for a composite doors 3 years ago as we thought it would last our lifetime unlike the others. No regrets whatsoever and we are south facing which means the door gets full sun. We have one single pane of frosted glass at the left-hand side which I love as it brightens up the hallway. It is up to you but I certainly don't have any regrets and tbh I think it is far more secure too as the locks and bolts are terrific. Good luck on your decision.
