I’ve just painted my garage. I pressure washed it first. The first coat of paint I used a brush and the second coat a roller.

Earlier this year I painted the stone wall which surrounds my Patio/balcony. I used a paint brush, and it was hard work.

I would recommend that painting bricks, etc best thing to use would be a paint sprayer. I had plenty of time, and was too mean to invest in one of these, and could not find anyone I knew to loan me one. I am pleased with the result I got, but if I ever need to repaint these walls, will definitely get a paint sprayer.

Not the “outhouse “ darling!
When I was a child, our new brick built (breeze block?) shed/outhouse cost so flipping much , my Mum always referred to it as “the cottage” grin

Yes, Wet and Forget kills the moss on tarmac as well, I’ve never tried a wire brush on tarmac but I don’t think it would be suitable as it might bring some of the surface up, I just use a stiff broom.

Ooh thank you everybody I will buy a wire brush and some Wet and Forget . Will it work on my tarmac path too?

Good advice, I’d do one extra thing, which would be to spray Wet and Forget on the walls before repainting, that will kill all the moss, and it continues working for months. I’ve used it for years on my patio, but only realised this year that it kills the moss on fences and walls as well.

My chap's advice is to clean the bricks with a wire brush. Buy one from B&Q. Ask if you can't find them, they're cheap to buy. Good for cleaning down fenced too prior to staining.
Paint the bricks with masonry paint first then do the doors. That way it's easier to get paint splashes off the doors. Rub down the doors first, then paint. Job done! It'll look great.
Preparation is key to a good job so take your time.

I want to paint my outhouse and need advice . Some of the bricks are grubby and have a bit of moss . What is the best thing to clean them? Do I paint the bricks or the wooden doors first ? Sorry if it’s a silly question.
