I saw this post and noticed no-one mentioned Oven Mate, it's from Lakeland. Honestly, it saves you a lot of hard work and it will do your oven several times from one bottle. You just sort of paint it on with the brush provided and after waiting an hour or so, wipe it off. Hope that helps those of you that say this job is such a chore. I use it on my pans sometimes when they need it and they come out like new. Just trying to help, I don't have shares in it or anything.

I pay someone to do mine! Not too expensive and I get it done two or three times a year. I’m all for supporting local industry.

Someone on a recent thread suggested Oven Pride. We have just had ours cleaned professionally, but might try it for next time.

We’ve started getting a local man/woman in to clean our oven and what a brilliant job they do in such a short period of time it’s the getting the double glass door off which causes us blood sweat and tears but they do it in seconds we’ll worth the money ?
