I have a shed 10‘ x 10‘ and not in bad condition, I thought!I had a guy come round from a shed company to see about doing the repairs and I’m having new windows doors and a roof however he did not pick up on the rotten wood at the bottom of the shed and I rang the company and was very peeved but it is what it is and I need to carry on. On the right side of the shed there about two panels of wood that are really rotten and a few along the front as well but the rest of the shed seems to be quite good condition. It is dry lined and has electricity. Anyway first thing to do is get all the rubbish out of it and my son is coming today to take rubbish to the tip so will see how it goes and keep you informed…. As you can imagine any advice very gratefully received(As long as it’s not burn it down and start again!!!?‍♀️) And inside the shed on the side where the rotten wood is the floor is quite damp so all in all I think this is going to be quite A big job…

Unbelievable, electrician came to do the electrics in El Sheddo, opened the boxes which were sealed with the light shades in and both of them were broken, badly broken! £70 for the light shades and £6 delivery charge I am not happy! ? from homebase and had to wait three days for them to be delivered!

What's the floor made of?
Is it actually a floor-covering - such as lino?

My taxi arrives in about an hour so I had better get packing! I am back on Monday so hopefully the lights, the sofa bed and the coffee table, everything will be in situ and I can show you the final product. ???

It’s busy but if it was plain you’d be having to clean it all the time as it would show up every mark.

I think it looks a bit too busy but never mind can’t do anything about it now ?

But you won't see all of it when you get furniture in.

It looks like a Proper Job! smile

I'm excited, too.
Have you got a colour scheme in mind for inside?
El sheddo sounds a bit like a bloke with a moustache.

I’m sorry misadventure but El Sheddo it is ?. The Walls are a very pale sage green, the flooring is well, sort of mosaic ?I will post a photo of it as soon as the floor men have gone..The ceiling is white and the Ottoman and sofa bed are grey.. and I am on the hunt for some sage green cushions

Shinamae Wed 08-Sept-21 15:54:14

These are the lights for the shed, sorry El Sheddo ? I thought they were quite dear at £35 each but I only need two. Anyway I am going away tomorrow up to St Albans for a few days to see my daughter hopefully when I come back everything will be done, lights fitted bed erected et cetera,Then I just need to get some net for the windows and doors, I am going to get quite a lot of net so it bunches up so it can’t be seen through… then just wait for the howling wind and the torrential rain and I will be in my element…???

The men are here laying the floor…. How much more excitement can I take?? ????

MissAdventure

2 questions to ask, please, about your lovely shed.
1. Are you going to name it? The shed doesnt do it justice.
2. One word. Spiders?

What about “El Sheddo” I have a brand-new plug in spider deterrent thingy and some peppermint spray apart from that I can just take my glasses off and then I can’t see bugger all!! ?????????

MissAdventure Wed 08-Sept-21 15:11:07

They're extra big this year, apparently.
It needs to be like a fire extinguisher, I reckon. shock

Your summerhouse looks lovely, a real sanctuary.

Nearly there, Shinamae - who's going to cut the ribbon? Do you have any famous neighbours?
