Solar Panel Skirts

My son had this done recently. I think it cost him between five and six hundred pounds and it has proved to be very effective. They are now pigeon proof and the pigeons have moved on!

We had mesh fitted around ours about a year after the panels were fitted as pigeons were driving us barmy. Only cost about £400 and was money well spent. What part of country are you in? Will send details of the company we used if any help.

We had the same problem, paid around £600 to have panels cleaned, nests removed (after babies had fledged) and mesh fitted.

I do not have PV and maybe I have been lucky with no problems.

No, we don't have them but they try to nest in our grape vine! And coo, coo, coo at 5.30 am

We had terrible problems with pigeons as did our neighbour.
The cooing, the dirt falling onto our patio and the gutters silting up was driving us crazy. Our neighbour’s son bought some steel mesh and a lovely roofer attached it all round. Cost me less than £70 and that included him clearing the gutter.

Ask a local roofer to do it rather than be ripped off.

Should have said it took the roofer less than an hour to do the job.

I live in a block of flats and a few months ago I was having problems listening to my old radio through the night because of interference. (I do have a new model that goes through the web but it is not easy to have it on a timer). I happened to mention my problem at the yearly neighbours’ dinner party, when my neighbours who live on the top floor said it could be them as they have an Ultrasonic Bird Repeller Sound. They have now switched their machine off but it could be an idea for anyone who don’t have neighbours needing radio reception nor young children who hear very high pitched sounds.

I don't understand the question. We have PV and solar panels but there is not enough space between them and the roof for pigeons to nest. I'd post a picture but it's nearly dark now and it probably won't come out.

I'm sure I read somewhere that a company in Scotland was working on a solar panel 'film' which would be much ligher and thinner than conventional panels. Perhaps they could be worn as a skirt?
