Hanging a rug

try the command clips first and see if it will work? I bought some of the big hooks to hang some wooden blackboards to a kitchen wall and they were surprisingly strong!

We are all waiting to see the rug by the way! Photo please grin

What about a flat backed hook with a blob of NoNails providing if you ever wanted to move your hanging the hook would be useful for something else.

I will try and "borrow" it back!

Ah - lots of thanks for these ideas. I fancy the command strips but do not feel sure that they will be sufficient. The rug clips are interesting - but I do not have an electric drill (donated to family when I cleared my bungalow) to screw the clips to the wall.

If it's not too heavy, you could put up a pole and use these kind of clips?

How heavy is it? I suspect you may need to an attach a batten, like you do for a curtain pole if it is very heavy but have you seen these?

Is there an opening along one edge where you could push a pole or rod through? That would hang it flat and it could be secured by two ornate hooks in the wall.

Could you attach it to some lightweight battens with double sided tape and then stick it to the wall using Command sticky tabs. The ones that are like Velcro.

I have been given a lovely felt rug/wall-hanging. It is about 4' x 2.5'.

Any good DIYers out there who might like to suggest the best way for me to hang it to the wall? And when I say me, I mean me! Bit decrepit.

Thanks
