Mine is set at 15 and is off at night.

We have our heating on at 21 for a couple of hours in the morning, and then back on from 5pmto about 10pm as our house is well insulated and retains heat well. As we are either out or pottering about during the day it is off but if we sit down earlier I just advance it. Thermostats on radiators are turned to frost setting in unused bedrooms. No heating on at night as we both hate to sleep in a heated bedroom but should the temperature drop below 7 degrees it will kick in. Winter nights we have a hot water bottle for cold feet! I am however, appreciative of the fact that my heating limits are due to choice, not being forced by financial concerns. I would be truly miserable if I couldn't put the heating on if I think it is getting cool.

18 degrees overnight would kill me! Our heating is always off and just put on if it's chilly. It's been on only a handful of times this autumn. No other heating. I'm sitting here in a vest and pj bottoms feeling very hot! Mr Stardust is in fleece and wool. grin he is very understanding of this menopausal woman! It's currently 19 in here according to the thermometer.

20 degree during the day.18 degrees through the night.I'm fairly sure that I read that 18Degrees should be maintained overnight if you are over 65 for health reasons.
I also use a heated throw whilst watching TV and have an electric blanket on my bed.

don't have a thermometer on the boiler here.
has a dial, and i have it just above minimum.
my bedroom is 54F at the moment, not sure what it is downstairs, maybe few degrees more, but i sit with feet up and wrapped in various blankets, with laptop on knees as it has to be plugged in to work, so has to reach socket.
the heating will come on about 9pm for a few hours, i may leave it on if particularly cold, but turn off for morning.

Our heating is on from about 8.30am to 9pm, at about 20 degrees.

I have my 90 year old mum living with me so thermostat is set a little higher than I’d like at 23-24C but I have to consider her. The heating is controlled by Alexa via Hive, and I can control it with boosts, so can get away with minimum scheduling which keeps the bills down. Well insulated too, so the boiler switches off when temp is reached and stays off for quite a while as the temp is maintained.

Just depends which rooms- some are not heated at all, our bedroom and next one are not heated much only heat that goes up from kitchen and lounge/office below- where we kee temp at about 18-20C. We use the stone clad wood burner when very cold- and once our bit downstairs feels cosy, we open door so some heat goes up.

Our thermostat is set at 19 degrees 6.30 pm - 10 pm
and 13 during the night.

MissAdventure

I don't know.
The numbers have worn off my control thingy.

grin
Ours is 21 or 22 between 6.30 and 9.30am. Then on again 4.00 - 10.30pm. If we get cold in between, we just put it on 'constant'.

muse Fri 05-Nov-21 19:14:01

No thermostat just the range and the log burner. Temperature can fluctuate from 16 to 22. It is very small granite cottage with one room and a mezzanine level for tiny bedroom.

New build (eco house), we hope to move into next year, has slate floor as it radiates heat, heat recovery unit, range and log burner and huge amount of insulation (under, over and around us). Still no thermostat. Temperature and humidity should be constant.

Saying that, if it's just me in the house it will be on 16 which is stupid as I'm the only one who is ever cold

18 in the day and 16 at night, I have my electric blanket for if its cold and I'm the only one who really gets cold

We have ours on 20° in the day and 21° in the evening. Our house is made of granite and, once it's warm, retains the heat. Our house is quite open plan and has high ceilings. I love it but it is difficult to keep warm.

Whiff Fri 05-Nov-21 18:40:32

My thermostat is set at 22° but turn it off at 9pm as I got to bed at 10. But turn it on at 6am when I wake . Don't leave it on if I go out unless the temperature is be below 19° .

mumofmadboys Fri 05-Nov-21 18:40:02

We have our thermostat at about 18 but dont have the heating on all day.

grandMattie Fri 05-Nov-21 18:32:55

We have ours on 15 degrees. If we are cold, we turn on our little oil heater and heat onl6 one room! Hot water bottles in bed.

Lincslass Fri 05-Nov-21 18:19:13

20 degrees. If feeling chilly a nice snuggly blanket.

Audi10 Fri 05-Nov-21 18:17:38

I like to feel cosy in our house and we mostly have a temp around 21 degrees, we aren’t fans of throws, so probably quite unusual as most people love to be wrapped up in one in the autumn and winter, obv if the weather drops and gets colder then we up the thermo to 22, don’t like the heat too warm in the bedroom though
