I recently bought a mini fridge as my kitchen fridge doesn’t seem to hold very much. The plan was to keep it in the utility room where my freezer is but it didn’t work because the room isn’t heated and the temperature went down to 12 degrees. It said in the spec ambient temperature 10 degrees + so I assumed that meant it would work in an unheated room. I wondered how many people check on room temperature for things like fridges? I will be able to use it in the summer but I wanted it for Christmas. I think it’s because newer fridges use different gas to the older ones. I find it very frustrating buying things online and not going to shops and asking for advice. It means that I probably wouldn’t be able to replace the freezer in that room with a larder fridge if I wanted to.
