What is this indoor plant?

It will die after it has flowered but you will find small plants or pups as they are called growing on the side which you can carefully detach and pot on.

Mine are a completely different variety, mind, Fanny. There are loads of different ones. They may not always behave the same way

Do they have babies once they've flowered?

I have pot full of a completely different bromeliad, inherited from an uncle who died about 20 years ago. They die when they've flowered, but send up new plantlets (I presume from the roots) which carry on to flowering.

They may only flower once, but they are easy to propagate. Probably best to look up how on the Internet, my explanatory skills are poor. More a do-er than a talker!

I’ve got a bromeliad in the garden but they don’t like cold weather so I will have to protect it after March. They also don’t like extreme heat ( mine browned on the leaf tips) so I moved it under a tree.

They’re very striking. It’s a Tillandsia Bromeliad cyanea.
I’ve read that they only flower once in their lifespan which seems a shame.

I have been given one, would so like to know what it is
