Please can any of you lovely ladies advise on a new dishwasher? Mine has just died, it was a Smeg but maybe someone has purchased another make recently. Would just like to add it was full with the family New Year Lunch dishes when it blew all the fuses! Thank you.

Oh, bad timing! I sympathise. Our integrated dishwasher is a Bosch, here when we moved. Its performance is excellent but the door is incredibly heavy and once fell open when I was about to unload before I could stop it, necessitating new door springs. The repair man remarked on it being the heaviest door he’d come across. So that’s something to avoid!

My latest dishwasher is a Bosch and is so quiet I have to look at the timer to see if the machine is working. This one is not integrated.

My last one was and worked superbly until It broke down and the fellow who came to repair it would not touch it until I had paid somebody else to remove the door etc. It cost me extra money so I decided the next one would not be integrated and this one is great. My washing machine and a fridge are not so it is not out of place. I have a separate, large f/f.

Ours is an integrated Neff which is 15yrs old. Has been very reliable with no issues.

Mine is a Bosch, which I’m happy with, though it’s not integrated. My friend also has a Bosch which is integrated and she’s happy with hers, too.

I have an integrated Miele and love it.

I have this Miele integrated dishwasher and love it. Does a full load in less than an hour and dishes are completely dry and ready to put away immediately. Economical with water and energy too.

Another Bosch, slim line integrated still going strong no problems 8 years on.

Mine was integrated but the fuss and expense of getting another put me off so In got a non integrated Bosch. They're not as expensive as I thought they'd be. I'm like the earlier posted in that I have to look at the lights to be sure its washing, its so quiet.

I have a Neff integrated dishwasher which is great. My daughter has Bosch. I would advise one where the racks can be collapsed as it makes the machine more flexible. My neff has the cutlery rack at the top which gives more space at the bottom but makes the top tray less. My daughters has a separate cutlery basket which is useful to take to the drawer. Which do reviews on machines.

Miele still going strong after 15 years.
