I am looking forward to my contract ending in March, there have been so many problems in the last year and contacting them is impossible.

Most freezing up problems are sorted by switching off 'the Box' and switching it on again. I have used Virgin media for years and found the help line well designed for the users.

Some of the technicians have strong foreign accents which is a difficulty for me . Do try switching 'the Box' off and on . The on/off switch is probably at the back surface of your Virgin box.

I'm in a WhatsApp group where there are lots of complaints about Virgin, always seems to be going down.

I had problems sorting out the initial installation as there were no cables to my house and the conduits under the pavements had caved in! After several failed attempts, repeated visits from the groundwork engineers and downright lies, I emailed the CEO to complain. As I was also changing my land line and broadband to Virgin I kept having problems with changeover dates and lost connections which was very worrying as my mums care team needed to contact me.

The CEO ( well, his PA) dealt very quickly with the complaint, I was allocated a person based in the UK who took over coordinating things and phoned me frequently to keep me informed and check on progress.

Try using the same route, it seems to work with many companies.

There are ways to get out of your contract if you can prove poor service and quality. Keep a diary of all the problems, telephone calls and call outs and use this as evidence.

You will need to pay an Early Cancellation Fee (ECF).
You will have to phone them (good luck) to find out how much it is.

Good luck with sorting it out. One DD has had no trouble with virgin and highly recommend it. Virgin spent quite a lot of lockdown putting cabling in around our area then promoting Virgin. My next door neighbour bitterly regrets starting with them.

Don’t do it!!!
Their customer service is shite (sorry)
See my ‘Broadband’ thread in House & Home.
I’ll be glad to have got shut of Virgin.
I really wish you all the best of luck ?
I’ll be following this thread.
