Getting out oil/fat stain off……

There used to be something called Thawpit which was good for greasy stains. It's probably been banned now.

I m the same arewethereyet you can do just as good a job with a bit of washing up liquid ….you don’t need expensive alternatives

I use washing up liquid or soap on any stains and white collars. Point blank refuse to buy lots of special cleaners unless its for something like ink. Apply neat onto damp material, rub in gently then wash as normal.

Previously I used to rub the stain with soap and carefully pour over some boiling water to dissolve the fat.
Nowadays I use a squirt of "Elbow Grease" on the stain prior to putting in the washing machine. "Elbow Grease" costs about 89p from Savers or Home Bargains.

Fairy liquid.then a wash in washer.I got greasy curry stains out of sons hoody with this method last week- and it was a light grey colour top.

Stain Devils. They sell a range. I once got red ink totally out of a white dress with them. Great stuff. Cheap too!

De Solv It ‘Sticky Stuff Remover’ works like magic! I use it rather frequently!

I always have success with lighter fuel. Rub in gently with a cloth then wash as normal.

Yes, put neat washing up liquid on the stains, then wash as normal in washing machine. Works every time. Also if you find a grease stain after you have washed and dried something and don't want to wash it again, put some talc (on the inside of the garment) then brush off the excess.

I use washing up liquid I put neat wash up liquid on and rub it well in usually seems to work for me
The ironing works for candle wax not sure about fat though

Ace gentle bleach. It’s brilliant stuff. I often use it for this

Try ironing through a piece of brown wrapping paper. Used to absorb it. Don't know if it still works.
